Samsung has recently unveiled a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 7, offering a critical security patch that addresses 37 vulnerabilities. The update, currently rolling out in South Korea, is a significant step towards enhancing the security of Samsung's smartwatch. However, it's worth noting that Samsung's security update policy for Galaxy Watch models is less frequent than for its smartphones. While Samsung typically releases security updates for Galaxy smartphones monthly, the brand generally provides security updates for its smartwatches once every two to three months. The Galaxy Watch 7, until now, has been running on the November 2025 security patch. The update in question is the February 2026 security patch, which is a notable departure from the more recent March 2026 patch that Samsung detailed earlier this month. The update is 390.13MB in size and carries firmware version L310XXU2BZB1. We anticipate that Samsung will release this update in other countries within the next few days. To check for and install the update, users can go to Watch settings > Watch software update and tap Download and install.
